My name is Michael and I am going to talk about money. My partner and I are 2 years out of college, living in Omaha, NE, and $51,314 in debt. This isn’t credit cards or a boat loan, it was earned the good ole American way, student loans and a mortgage ($29,327 student loans, $21,987 mortgage). We met in college and both of us majored in graphic design. I am a freelance web designer/developer and Pierre is the chief marketing officer at a start-up downtown.
In addition to my love of Personal Finance, I am also a Disney theme park connoisseur. Growing up in the midwest, I have always been far away from a Disney theme park — but that hasn’t stopped me from visiting 35 times. The Walt Disney Resort is like a second home, but the rent is outrageous and you might go to jail if you walk around in your underwear.
So I am excited to start blogging and here is a list of topics I will cover over the course of this blog.
- Debt payoff strategies
- My investment plan
- How to budget more effectively without feeling deprived
- Living on a unsteady income
- Passive streams of income
- Personal Finance Case Studies
- Hustling
- Saving for a Disney Vacation
- Doing Disney on a Budget
- Trip Recaps
I want to increase my wealth and decrease my spending and I am going to use this blog to document that journey. So if you are like me and don’t want to work a 9-5 until you’re 65, keep checking back at Saving for Tomorrowland!
